As CEO and Founder of the award-winning ANTHEMIC Agency and Publisher and Founder of FLOOD Magazine, Alan Sartirana is an industry stalwart who is regarded as one of the leading voices in culture, music, lifestyle, and branding

Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, San Francisco, Austin, and Nashville, ANTHEMIC is a collective of creative and engaged industry leaders who cultivate extraordinary experiences that inspire and influence culture. Sartirana leads the full-service brand and culture agency in its unique approach to experiential marketing, brand partnerships, media campaigns, public relations, and content strategy. With clients and projects including Toyota, Bowers & Wilkins, Saatchi & Saatchi, Guitar Center, Burton, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, and more, Sartirana brings his deep-rooted understanding of culture, innovation, and collaboration to elevate clients above the noise and facilitate a more authentic connection with consumers.

Sartirana’s publication, FLOOD, is an online and print media publisher that aims to bring often overlooked culture and entertainment to the forefront. Spanning the landscape of film, music, art, travel, and everything in between, FLOOD has featured everyone from Run the Jewels, Neil Young, Big Grams, and Iggy Pop to fashion spreads featuring John C. Reilly’s Dr. Steve Brule and the cast of HBO’s Veep.

Sartirana also launched the FLOODfest tentpole events in cities across the U.S., from the week-long FLOODfest Austin during SXSW—which has featured artists as varied as Spoon, Vince Staples, Peaches, and Run the Jewels—to FLOODfest Chicago, which has featured partnerships with Virgin America and Spotify alongside performances from Local Natives, Father John Misty, Broods and Baio. Called one of “The 7 Best Things We Saw at SXSW 2016” by Yahoo! and one of NYLON’s “15 Best SXSW Showcases to Attend This Week,” FLOODfest has also been featured in Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Stereogum, and more. 2017 will see the launch of the first consumer ticketed FLOODfest Arts & Culture festival in FLOOD’s backyard landscape of downtown Los Angeles.

Recently, Sartirana spearheaded the creation and execution of beAT, a brand new networking and social event series that ties together the worlds of technology, food and entertainment hosting key industry leaders and influencers. The inaugural edition of beAT launched at 2016’s SXSW festival, with panelists from Vice, Levi’s, tumblr, Serato, and NeueHouse, and will continue next year, with events spanning the globe.

Prior to founding FLOOD and ANTHEMIC, Sartirana co-founded FILTER Magazine and FILTER Creative Group, where he developed and executed campaigns for the Gap, Levi’s, Microsoft, Toyota, Converse, Diesel, and Sony PlayStation among others. He also serves as a board member of the Pablove Foundation, which invests in underfunded pediatric cancer research and aims to improve the lives of children living with cancer through art, and hosts the annual Pablove Shutterbugs Art Show at the FLOOD Gallery in Los Angeles.
