Lead, Social Impact Creator Partnerships, Meta​

Mayola is a seasoned strategist who leads the development of impactful partnerships with public figures, creators, and entertainment media publishers at Meta. Her work is focused on creating on and off-platform activations that galvanize audiences to enact social change and promote equity and inclusion.

Before joining Meta, Mayola made significant contributions to the strategic development and execution of several award-winning artist-led criminal justice campaigns, including John Legend’s #FREEAMERICA and Common’s Hope and Redemption Tour. Through this work, she was responsible for securing the first-ever live-streamed musical performance from inside a federal prison. She also developed social impact campaign concepts for film and television at Participant Media, where her portfolio included Academy Award-winning films and series such as GREEN BOOK, WHEN THEY SEE US, and A FANTASTIC WOMAN.

Mayola’s expertise in social impact and community partnerships is rooted in her education. She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from The New School and a Bachelor’s degree from The City College of New York.

 

The Music Industry Advisory Board aims to ensure that students have access to a diverse set of successful music professionals, so they are aware that there is more to the industry beyond being on the main stage. Our mission is to close the gap for the next generation of music industry professionals to create a more inclusive and diverse future.
