Business Affairs Executive at Audible, Inc

Ashley Foote is a business affairs executive with nearly 10 years of experience practicing entertainment law, business law, litigation and criminal law. Receiving both her bachelor’s and juris doctor degrees from Howard University, Ashley started her career as a prosecutor at the most prestigious district attorney’s office in the country, Manhattan DA. After 4 years of service, Ashley began her pursuit of practicing entertainment law, gaining experience in civil litigation, corporate transactions, TV production legal and IP protection.

In 2021 Ashley was selected for the coveted Paramount Fellowship where she spent her time at BET Networks as a business and legal affairs associate counsel assisting with the production of unscripted shows including the BET and HIP HOP Awards. Ashley then moved to NBCUniversal to gain scripted TV experience as a legal affairs counsel supporting scripted shows on Peacock.

Currently, Ashley serves as a business affairs executive at Audible, Inc, an Amazon Company, where she negotiates deals for the acquisition of original scripted and unscripted audio shows in the US and Brazil, live stage theater projects and the distribution and sell of audio shows for tv and film adaptation.

In addition to her professional career, Ashley is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, serves as the Communications Chair of the TV/Film Division of the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association, Director of Legal for the NYBLACKMBA Association and provides life, leadership and career coaching as an affiliate of Accomplishment Coaching, to help individuals get out of their own way and tap into their greatness.
