Founded in 1997, Save The Music is a national 501c3 non-profit that helps students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music.

We are a compassionate team of educators, professionals, activists, and artists dedicated to serving the greater good. We are building a movement to fight social injustice and inequities within education and society through the power of making music. We believe that music is a common language that brings people together and is an essential tool for educating the next generation of community leaders.

We believe that every student benefits from music education and that music education builds life skills that help students after they leave the music classroom. In-school music and arts education is a fundamental and necessary component of a well-rounded education for all students pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

We believe strategic investments in public school music education programs sparks growth in a community’s music ecosystem. By collaborating and convening with community stakeholders, we strive to authentically support our partners to create sustainable, in-school music education programs and professional pathways for young people.

From our governing and advisory boards to our operating team, Save The Music is an organization that strives to be representative of the varied races and ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations, religious and political beliefs, and abilities of the communities we serve. We want to recruit, retain, and advance diverse talent because it makes our work more effective, creative, and resilient. If you are passionate about music and education, highly skilled in your field, and looking for a place where you can bring all of yourself to work, we want you.
