Creative Marketing Manager

Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

Job Overview:

The Creative Marketing Manager is responsible for developing a content strategy emphasizing Save The Music student, school, and community voices. This role requires the ability to think both creatively and analytically. Position duties include producing and publishing content, copywriting, editing, proofreading, formulating content strategies, and collaborating across all organization departments to strengthen organizational identity and voice.

The Creative Marketing Manager should be comfortable finding innovative ways of building an online presence. They can leverage industry knowledge, data analytics, and their own creativity to execute a content strategy focused on student and community storytelling – multimedia articles, blog posts, images, or videos that aid in fostering online engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage creative content across all Save The Music print, social and digital platforms
• Work closely with our program team and community partners to gather and consolidate all community assets
• Elevate and amplify community, school, and student voices through social media
• Develop compelling case studies to demonstrate the impact of our work
• Create content storytelling best practices aligned with the brand mission and values
• Advise and monitor social, cultural, and creative trends to inspire content initiatives
• Assist in building out an artist and creator advocacy program with a focus on distributing online content
• Generate new leads for content marketing partnerships and campaigns
• Support local and school district PR efforts

Requirements:

• 3+ years of related work experience
• Possess knowledge and experience in marketing – can design and produce content efficiently plus knows how to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion
• Experience facilitating video and photo production campaigns, including in-person interviews
• Demonstrates creativity and documented involvement in social media and PR
• Display excellent writing and communication skills, diverse thinking, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative individual that can also work independently and manage timelines efficiently
• Design experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or comparable design applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for making music and art
• Love for creating custom marketing campaigns with artists and content creators
• Desire to inspire social good through marketing and communications
• Experience capturing and editing photo and video content
• Applicant must be based in the New York area
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (Remote + In-office)

Salary Range Based on Experience:

$70,000 to $80,000
