Mireya is a Banker at J.P. Morgan in the Wealth Management Group of the Private Bank. She began her financial services career as an Investigative Counsel for the New York State Banking Department before moving to the private sector where she held leadership roles as Head of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering for both the onshore and offshore private banking markets within HSBC. In her role as Head of Compliance for HSBC’s US Private Bank, Mireya led the integration of high net worth and ultra-high net worth businesses of multiple acquired financial institutions, successfully reducing overlapping functions while modernizing the compliance team’s capabilities and standards. She led this integration while overseeing a compliance team that was credited as being responsible for material risk reduction without slowing the responsiveness of client service teams.
Mireya has extensive entrepreneurial experience providing C-level advisory services in operations and development, marketing and branding, developing the philanthropic side of businesses, and growth strategy for start-ups. Industry sectors served include Fashion, Health and Wellness Hospitality and Retail.
Mireya began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office under the leadership of Robert M. Morgenthau.
Mireya graduated Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and then Cardozo School of Law where she received a Juris Doctor.
Mireya lives in New York City with her husband. She currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Compliance Committee of Save The Music Foundation. Mireya also sits on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York State (PPGNY). Mireya is an instructor at SoulCycle.
